Sirdarya Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant

Located in Sirdarya, Uzbekistan, our 240-megawatt natural gas combined cycle power plant began commercial operations in November 2022. Built on a 70,000-square-meter site, the facility employed 700 people during its construction phase and now provides jobs for 100 employees, the majority of whom are from Uzbekistan. The Sirdarya Power Plant not only contributes significantly to the local economy and the development of the regional energy sector, but also stands out for its high efficiency, thanks to its ability to ramp up to full load in a short time and its modular structure, which allows for fast and easy maintenance. The groundbreaking ceremony of the plant was held with the participation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of the Republic of Türkiye. Remarkably, the plant was brought online and began commercial sales in just eight months following the start of construction.
